Fish Monger II Fri 5/22 over / under Striper Limit to 42 lbs / c&r Seabass
Had Tony P and crew aboard today. All but one were first time liveliners Headed out and wasn't long b4 we came across Bunker birds and Big Bass!
The guys worked together great with the bunkers. We had 2-4 Fish on the first bunch of times we stopped the boat. Hopped from pod to pod n Pounded away at em and by 815 the 6 man crew had their limit of both over and under fish (12 fish) . Big fish was 42 lbs had another just under 40. 5 of the guys got their personal best striper today! Being it was only so early we went to some rough bottom( inside 3 miles) to see if any ling moved in or cod were left inshore. Non home but the seabass were. They def moved in had some double headers etc that all nice fish that had to b released. Good to see will b Coming back for em in a week. Tried a drift in the river for fluke but no bites so the guys had there full n called it a day at 1130. Headed back out in a lil bit for our pm trip so hopefully they will b hungry again this evening. Will have all the pics updated tonight from our last trip n today. Crew was awesome Thanks again guys
