Fish Monger II Wed 5/20 Stripers to 38lbs
Fish Monger II Wed 5/20 Stripers to 38lbs - Had Matt Goldman charter of 5 today. The guys wanted Stripers today no blues or bottomfishing so it was bass or bust. Started out looking for bait but didnt see any. Did find some good bass reads so I much as I despise it we had to resort to trolling. Put out the spoons and had a big bass on Pretty quick then lost one then a blue then another bass etc typical trolling... Drove in circles and made spaghetti lines . Boxed up 6 bass 4 blues lost n 2 bass boatside.
When it died we started trolling toward home n looked up and there was a giant area of bunker getting eating by bass n blues. Broke out the snags and the first 3 baits immediately got eaten. Got on em again n lost two n landed a blue. One we had boat side was an under 43 anyway n we had all we could have of those. Nice way to end the day and good to see some bait finally. Still was Tough fishing but worked hard to land 9 stripers to 38lbs for the crew of 5. Hopefully it a start of something.
