iced pike

Been hittin the hardwater alot this week......today it finally paid off. Started out as far west as you could go yupppp big d slow morning with no eyes and one cat to show for it all mrng long at 1me and my buddy new to ice fishing as of tues headed up north in search of some pike. Got to the spot saw one other guy packin in it set up and hr later im walking around shaking up the bait look across from the point and looks like the flags up walk over sure enough pick the tip up out of the hole look and see maybe 10ft of line on the spool thinkin to myself. Ughhhh dnt remember havin a tip up with so little amount of line on the spool.... set the hook pulling pulling pulling then all sudden line starts flying through my fingers!!! Oboyyyyy ten to twelve mins later i get the beast through the hole my new pb, 39" thick as ever. Snapped some pics and sent her on her way. Ps sorry for the blood not sure why she was bleedin but sorry she swam away strong!!!
