Yesterday on fathers day we were having a pretty slow day jigging for blues. We were getting some but they were all pretty small and not everyone was really hitting them. The day came to a finish and we were heading back when the captain noticed a crazy feeding frenzy of bunker to the side of the boat. Eve though the day was over he told us to get set up and back jigging. Within 3 minutes I get slammed with a fish and pull in a 25 lb. striper. Two seconds later 3 more come in one bigger than the next. We stayed out an extra hour because the captain was nice enough to let us and the boat ended up bringing up 7 stripers in that last hour all bigger than mine with the biggest being about 38 lbs. To finish the day we saw a whale surfacing and went home with some big fish.
