Default Couple Fall Trout 10/17

Took some time yesterday to put my trout stamp to good use. Realized I hadn't caught one this year (in 1 attempt). Spooled up the 4# mono, grabbed the box of small inlines and headed off to the mighty Raritan.

First couple casts yielded a small bow. Looked almost to small to be a spring stocker? Next was my pb wild brown! Got em on a size 1 blue fox brown trout spinner. Came in at 8/9 inches and was a feisty little cannibal, lol.

After that I got into some nice thick bows. 5 total, all about the same size. First one came up with a fly hanging out of his mouth!!! Anyone lose a chartreuse wooly bugger? After that got another one that had a really cool spotting pattern where it was all over, belly and all. All fish released unharmed to fight again.

Really nice morning, started out cool and overcast and ended up sunny and warm. Leaves where in full effect and made it tough but not impossible to get some. Good times......
