Patriots Day Pike....9/11

Started a week of vacation today so my brother and I hit the river around 7. After about 20 min of cruisin we pulled up to a large weed bed and posted up. My brother hauled a mid 20s pike in the first couple casts. Then I had a big miss right at the edge of the weeds. Switched up to a big swimbait and jigged up a nice high 20s pike in the exact spot I missed the other hit.

Then I tied on a KVD frog and started workin it over the thick stuff. Had a sweet topwater EXPLOSION and a solid hookup!! Bring in another high 20s pike with a hunch back and an attitude, lol!!!! While "pointing" out the fact I barely had em hooked, the SOB turns and gets 4 teeth into 1 of my fingers!! Still got a quick pic while bleedng everywhere, lol......

After that, bro got another on an inline and I had another nice hookup with a spinnerbait but it took me into the weeds and came unbuttoned. All together nice morning on the river. Got out of there before the heat came on to strong.
