Mixed Bag Bonanza
I started at Beaver Brook where the water was low, weedy, and crystal clear. I decided to leave all my fancy lures in the car and invested in a couple dozen nightcrawlers. In about two hours I picked away at sunfish, fallfish, largemouths, a few trout, and a big rock bass. After a stop at Johnny's for lunch I hit my second spot: Natirar park, armed with a small jig. The fish were all over the jig, and I nailed sunfish after sunfish as fast as I could cast. Also mixed in were some fallfish, and a few largemouths and smallmouths.
Between both spots I probably caught around 50 fish. Nothing big; largest fish was a ~12" brown trout. Still, loads of fun on light tackle.
