Default Rainy Day Shed Trifecta.........

Had been planning to take my dad out for some time, and since yesterday was the only day we were both off we decided to brave the storms and head out for a couple hours. Due to the downpours I put the pike hunt on hold and hit the shed.

First 2 hours were slow with only one pickerel that followed my xrap in twice but wouldn't hit. We relocated and finally found some fish. First was a decent lmb that inhaled the xrap followed by a decent pickerel. Hooked him once and he went airborne and threw the hook. After a lure change and a few more casts he came back for seconds and smashed my hj. Jumped again but this time he stayed on. A bit later I picked up a nice 4ish pound smallie on a crankbait.

Over the course of the day, dad picked up 2 1/2# smallies and missed 2 more. When I hooked the pick the second time, and he hadn't caught any yet, I offered to hand him the rod. He promptly told me "F YOU", lol..........

Not a bad rainy day fishin with dad. Got a shed trifecta plus a bonus perch that hit the same crankbait as the big smallie!!
