Passaic kayak slam !!

This wind is driving me crazy !! Every night I check and it seems like it's been blowing 20+ for the past couple of weeks, I need a salt fix now !!!!

Of course I can drive a mile and at least get my a$$ in a kayak and try for pike.

I put in about 3 hours this morning and wound up with my personal best smallie ( I have only caught a handfull, so it's not great news) then I landed a nice largemouth and then followed the two bass with 2 pike. Of course the first pike was close to 36" and the timer on the camera was on 8 seconds when it went crazy and went back in. The second pike was pretty small, but at least it stayed calm for a picture.

The river is still very low and clear, but I really worked my a$$ off for the 2 pike. There are a couple of "can't miss" spots that I tried for 30 minutes each, without even a follow.

I guess it's better than not getting on the water at all.
