Shad Fishing Sat And Sun

got up to the delaware @8am saturday morning.fished for about 45 minutes with nothing then bam!!!!i hook my first shad of the year.nice little battle and released.started casting again and in 5 minutes i hook another fish but this fish is actting different.it jumps out of the water and now i see its a good
smallmouth,17in and fat.what a great looking smallmouth.i start casting again and right away another fish on,its another smallmouth.this on was not as big,maybe 14in but still a great looking fish.took a few mins to take a few
sips of coffee and start casting again.about 30mins gose by and bam!! i'm tight again,this time another shad.all fished released.i was using chartruse
darts with white bucktail.the river is clear and running perfect.
sunday was a different story.with high hope i got to the river @ 7 and fished
till 10:30 without a touch.i saw maybe 15 other peeps come and go with out a hit.thats fishing for ya!!!
