PROWLER5 - SAT., OCT. 4TH - GOOD 2ND SEA BASS TRIP
Hey gang, we had a nice big crowd of Prowler regulars for a beautiful Saturday in early Oct. We didn't waste any time today, we used our speed and flew out to the grounds. We anchored first thing this morning and we picked away at some keeper sea bass. But we lost the current and we went on the float. We had very little drift but we worked hard today and worked the throttles - that was the key. We had the fish flying over the rails. Nice big sea bass. We had multiple limits. Larry and Danny were pretty busy down on deck today. When we got to the grounds there were no little boats, but that changed with it being a Saturday. We just had to work a little harder to get the job done. I know Lenny, Wayne and others had their limit and Big Joe was banging them up pretty good up in the bow. Plus the rest of the gang. The boys have been filleting for the last hour and a half. We fished with green crabs and clams today. Although I'd say 95% of the sea bass were caught on fresh clams today. I'll post pics a little later. Capt. Jack will be at the helm tomorrow. Don't miss out. Let's go fishing. I'll be back at the helm for Monday's trip. Felt good to be a party boat captain today. Sailing every day 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM; fare is $90; fresh clams supplied; free ice for your catch. Thanks, Capt. Scott
