Heroes on the Water Thanks YOU!

Gerry reached out to me to tell me how wonderful the Christmas Party was and let me know how you all raised a significant donation for the New Jersey Chapter of Heroes on the Water (HOW).

We cannot thank you enough for thinking of us again! For those who don't know, Heroes on the Water provides free kayak fishing outings for U.S. active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement officers, first responders and their families. We provide everything they need for a relaxing and therapeutic day out on the water. NJ HOW has helped thousands over the past decade+. The HOW NJ team is made up of all volunteers. We are one of the most productive chapters in delivering our program and it is because of the incredible support that we get from our local community.

The NJFishing.com community's support has been instrumental in keeping our equipment and supplies in tip top shape, ensuring we are always prepared to get everyone in a safe kayak with quality fishing tackle. It helps us also service our trailers and AEDs, and provides food for our participants. Thanks to YOU, we continue to deliver high quality, therapeutic experiences.

This season we were able to get over a hundred veterans and first responders out on the water supported by many volunteers, many of whom are also veterans and first responders who have found that volunteering was even more rewarding than participating. We cannot do this without the generous support from our local fishing community and we are immensely grateful to you.
