Default Nj pb wild brown/ laker beat down at the valley

Well I stuck a fork in ice season early this year…. I did a lot of swinging for the fence with little to show for it. Saturday I got up early to check on some of my pets that I couldn’t get to because of the ice all winter. They were there where I left them and they sure were hungry. Ended up with a few but got a really nice wild brown probably my personal best in Nj. Fish fought awesome on the ultralight on 4 lb test. Sunday i fired up the mamba and headed to the valley to see what was going on there. Found plenty of lakers close to shore and caught them well on the flats, wire, leadcore,& riggers. Plenty of releases but I did keep my daily limit of 6 for the smoker. Plenty of fish close to shore right now don’t necessarily need a boat right now, get out and give it a try guys. Good luck
