great 1st ice trip

my son,his 5year old daughter and i hit a small lake at 10am yesterday morning.put out our tip ups and started jigging.it was not long before the flags started flying.what a great sight to see my granddaughter running after them.we did very well catching perch,bass and a load of pickerel.she is a trooper when it comes to fishing and she wanted to stay.i bribed her with a promise of a big hot coco and a brownie for the ride home but before we got to the deli she was out.4-5 inches of good ice all around the lake.we did ok jigging too.#5 black and silver
and a tear drop with a mousie seemed to keep them biting.
