Took a short solo trip yesterday morning from about 8 to 11. Had low clear water and mid 80s temps with bright blue skies. Tossed the usual stuff for a bit before deciding to anchor up and really work a decent stretch. Tied on an OLD frog lure I had and first cast, lure hits the water, a small pike swings and misses. Paused , twitch ,BANG, fish on!! Thought it was a little guy until it took off and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ......

Couple great jumps later, netted a FAT 33" pike. Couple pics and a few seconds of reviving and off he went. 👍👍
Followed that up with a couple river rat smallies until I hooked up a decent fish. Though it might be another pike until I saw some nice bronze go airborne. Measured out to 18" and also pretty fat!!! Not bad for a few hours cruising the ribber......
