Thanks Captain for having the whiteleggers available at a reasonable price and for leaving the dock early to give us more fishing time.
Got my start black fishing the Big Mohawk about 27 yrs ago. Showed up with my Diawa sealine rod and shimano TLD 5 rigged with mono. One of the mates at the time was Chris who I later came to find out was the father of Chris the Mate on the Mimi. He asked me where I got rod as it was his favorite rod but they did not make that model anymore and he was looking for one. The following week I showed up with brand new rod of model that he has been looking for and gave it to him. He was so appreciative I got 3 free trips on the boat and he kinda took a liking to me as I was eager to learn. Since that time it has been a constant learning experience. When you finally think you figured them out you have a trip that humbles you and has you scratching your head. After all these years I am still learning and always trying to improve on my craft.
