Re: Gambler 2 Day Trip
A quick report on the trip...
First a very special thanks to Charlie Tuna and Bob for getting it off the ground and making it a go...looking forward to next years trip...  BC, many thanks for your generous dinner donation excellent steaks!!!To the Gambler crew, excellent as always...fun, expert and professional and to Capt. Bob for taking us to the magic spot on the first night and drifting and on the second night anchoring on the Hudson's East Wall right on the "X". To everyone on the trip--couldn't have been a more considerate and knowleable bunch of anglers...lots of fun...got to match faces with NJF handles... Think the final tuna count was 84 yft & lft with a 1 to 2 ratio with several tiles and mahi(went pothopping) with some coming through the slick at night... lots of life, couple blue sharks, dolphin around the boat most of the time and squid in clear blue 70-73 degree water... Sorry guys, no pix... Shoulders, back and arms very sore with loins to deal with and much needed sleep needed Everyone walked off the boat with at least two fish... most tuna caught on bait.. need sleep, good night... Chucky
