Default Playing the DRUM!!!

There are still some big black Drum in Raritan Bay. Fun to catch! I let this jumbo go.

What is the MO for catching Black Drum in the bay?,, Anchoring and fishing bottom with whole clams?, whole crabs?... do you chum??.. I will never get down there to do it, but I'm sure a few guys would like to know...bob

I'm no expert, but if you can find some rough bottom -15 feet of water and drop a bunch of crushed clams and muscles, you may attract one of the fine fighters. Fish whole salted clam with a striper hook -fish finder rig and 3 foot leader on the bottom. Good luck !

Same as above with crushed green crab , circle hook and rod in rod holder , just wait for the bend and reel

The first time I went on my friends boat for them I couldn't belive the sounds from under the boat. Thats why they call them drum ........
