Smallie Fishing With Chrisper

You know I love Smallie fishing so when I got an invite from Chrisper I was all in. We met at 10 and fished till 7 and it did not disappoint.
Although it wasn’t up to Chrisper standards it exceeded mine with what I consider to be a pretty solid day of fishing.

Started out targeting Smallmouth and it was on the slow side so Chris decided to make a move and on our way we jigged on some Lake trout readings and Chris connected with 2. The spot we eventually went was slow as well so well so with the bait we had left went back to where we started and it was alive with Herring schools moving through in waves and managed a few nice Smallies and some decent Largemouth.

Final tally was 7 Smallmouth, 3 Largemouth, 2 Lake Trout and 2 nice fat Bullhead one was 15.5 inches and big enough to put us on the leader board of the NJ Multi Species fishing tournament.

All in all a great day on the water with great weather and good company.
