We left the dock at 11pm Tuesday night to bumpy conditions. Capt. Bob throttled down in the dark. After looking around Neko and John set out both anchors. We were lifting keepers over the rail within 5 minutes of the horn. Clams were the way to go in the dark. Jigs caught a few. The bite came in shots all around the boat with some doubles and even a couple of triples. I was limited out at 6:40.
We ended up with a boat limit of Seabass, 2 triggerfish, 1 8lb Purple Hake(pool fish), 1 Fluke around 5lbs(released), and a bunch of Bluefish. The Porgies were not very thick and Dogfish not too bad until the only wiggle we made seemed to turn them on. We came in early with the 15 to 20knot winds that were forecast and a following sea. The crew cut fish from the time we left the wreck till we broke the inlet. I would like to thank Capt. Bob, Niko, John, Chris, and special guest Capt. Greg for one of my better trips in the last few years. |

If we didn't have that following sea it would have been miserable coming home. The Gambler still has some openings leaving at 11pm Tuesday night the 28th.
