D&R Fat Channel Cat

Hit the D&R in search of some bass tossing some
Soft plastics and was having follows but no commitment from the bass when i get slammed by a surprise fatty channel cat, random guy saw me battling and stood around and watched and snapped a pic for me after i landed it.

Nice catch! ive had channels hit lures mostly in spring, yet none that big. I know they just got done spawning, a few weeks ago we saw em pairing all over the river while floating it. Guess they're just hungry for plastics now
