Nice Raritan Rainbow

Went out Sunday to the Raritan River and landed a number of rainbows including this nice one. I have caught a few decent ones like this through the start of the year as well.

That's a beautiful looking fish ! Doesn't resemble the rainbows the State stocks. Club fish?

I am not sure but this one area holds some nice trout. Its off the beaten path a bit so not easy access.

Nice rainbow, there are a lot of holdover-trout on the south branch. You might have found where a bunch of fall-2019 stocked fish stacked up.
Also the possibility that club trout have spread all over the river.

Oh yea alot of the trout I catch in that part of the Raritan have been around that size. You are probably right as they are most likely older fish that have been in the river for a while.
