Ocean Explorer Blackfish
We are still fishing everyday the weather lets us,,,Sunday was very dull with a large ground swell stirring up the bottom...We had a couple of banner days early in the week,,,and just a pick towards the end of last week.Seasonal pool is over 4300k and growing everyday....Still only a 11lb fish is holding and I think that will be beat in the next 4 weeks at sometime especially when I start hitting the deeper nastier stuff as the water cools off...Tomorrow(Tuesday) looks very nice and we are fishing..As for everyday it looks like good with lots of west winds for the rest of the week...Be ready to fish anywhere from 60 to 180 feet over the next few weeks as we looks for some big Togs,,Jigs can really produce on the right day and outfish most guys if you know what your doing,,but also have a heavy rod ready to fire down some big lead if need be..sometimes that works way better than a jig as a lot of you know,,Blackfish Bobby on Friday put on his show with the jigs on a slow day with his new BOGAN Custom Spinning Stick that nailed 10 fish,,4 were to keep,Got a pic below.....We are also catching Ling and some nice Codfish mixed in as well to spice up the catch especially when I am fishing deeper looking for the Bigger Blackfish..Diving last week I noted the water was 3 degrees warmer than the surface..45 on the bottom which is crazy warm for this late in the season......We have green crabs onboard and whites are available..So pick a day and come on down...See ya then..
