Annual Last Lady Trip

As always, 20 + years fishing with Captain Ralph on the Last Lady fleet today was another day in the books.
Set sail at 6 am to the far reaches of the ocean to Grandpa's stomping grounds.
Set the anchor, 16 lines went down............ and 16 sea bass came up. It was non stop sea bass and ling action for a solid 20 minutes. Made a few wiggles and we were right back on the sea bass and ling.
After boxing up our legal sea bass limit anchors up and off we went in search for some cod.
Lines back down, more ling came up mixing in some nice winter flounders. Few more wiggles, few more flounder.
We could not connect with any cod but we boxed up the flounder limit and called it a day leaving em bitting.
I can't say enough for Captain Ralph and mate Shaun who was on top of every tangle, snag, and rigging.
As always, we ate well with the full north joisey spread and drank just as good with plenty of laughs.
All I can say is there were 16 tired anglers all with BIG smiles today.
It was nice to fish with Ice Cream Bill and Barry.
Grandpa, we will be back!!!

Tonight's dinner was the remaining few filets from the trip. Yum yum yum, need to get back out
