Share your views and recommendations for the future of freshwater fisheries research and management with NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife biologists at the Freshwater Fisheries Forum this Saturday, December 7 at 10 a.m. The forum will be at the Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery in Warren County; a southern forum will be held in February.
This year's topics will include a fish health discussion by Fish Pathologist Dr. Jan Lovy. His presentation will include the furunculosis disease outbreak at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and its current status. Results from 2013 field sampling will also be presented. Anglers are invited to ask questions and comment on any aspect of the division's fisheries management programs. By providing input, the public can help guide the development of freshwater programs and the regulations which govern them. For more information, including directions and how to pre-register (requested but not required), please visit http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/new...rumnorth13.htm on the Division's website. |
