Took the kid fishing Sunday - 11/3/13

Took my gf's son fishing on Sunday at a local spot in Sayreville that I've never fished. It was chilly and windy so I knew we'd only have a short time until he got cold/bored/etc. Hooked him up with a lil' micro spincaster and some baby crawlers under a bobber. It was awesome watching him sling his bait out. Teaching him well lol. He managed to stick 2 thick slab bluegills and a nice little yellow perch. He's still trying to get the hang of setting the hook. Good times, nonetheless. Here's a few shots I snapped of him. Lookin' like a boss hahaha...

He has no fear. I said "grab him by the lip like this." He just did it. He's only 5 and he's huge, too. I'll have him strapped into a tuna soon enough!

I'm no stranger to bass rash and the sand paper vice-grip of a fat channel lol... I'm easing the lil' guy into it haha.

Now, the 30-40 striper days out East during the herring run will leave your hands looking like rare meat...but it's worth it!
