Fished North this AM out of Manasquan. Turned out to be more of a day to practice driving in rough seas (Plenty of green water on the front of the 28' ). Saw readings galore, but could not raise em whether troll or jig. Is there such a thing as 'too much bait'?
Then got in car and headed South to eat dinner at LaGuna on Brigantine. Watched a guy pull a 30lbs out of the surf at 4:30, despite not seeing a single fish while surf fishing 8 hours on Saturday. Something tells me a north n south breakout might be interestin (north guys could have said 'come on up' on Saturday while south guys could have sai the same sunday). Per Murphy's Law, I did the opposite.. |
