Was up at 430 AM and drove up to the Musky. Did a lot of prospecting for the fall and fished a few spots. Had 4 fish--3 bows and brownie. All fish caught on CD-1 in fire minnow. Stopped over by the graphite mill and looked at the slow water above the falls and saw an epic # of suckers, carp & fallfish (I think that's what they were). Hundreds of them paved the bottom from smallish 5" fish to fish that looked to be about 3-4 lbs. That's also where I pulled the brown from.
If anyone is looking for bait, I'd recommend a stop there... Here's a shot of one of the bows, too. Didn't wanna really take my phone out while I was waist deep... Hit the road around noon for home. Was nice to be on the river again! |

Prospects for November you mean. Yes, they put the big fat fish in October, river is choked with leaves, fat fish aren't eating yet. Play Trick or Treat, then go get 'em !

I was referring to November when I said fall. No point in trying to fish through the leaves! Tons of other species to target in both the sweet and the brine so I'll keep busy!

Nice catch man!!! Lots of Trout in the water. This fall should be AWESOME, if we have a good fall. Acorns falling off the trees wayyyyy too early. Usually means brutal cold is on the way!!!!

From where I was around Bloomsbury, it looked like a lot of private property. I've knocked on doors elsewhere asking to fish but I havent tried around there yet lol... |

I have fishes the Musky a few times near the grafite mill. I have never walked any further then after the bridges and the fast water right after the bridges. I see no tresspassing signs so never kept walking. Has anyone ever ventured down that part of the river before ? Thanks
