Thanks guys, we are leaning twards blomoseen but now im a bit concerned about the boat traffic. Is it that bad in the summer? Do you think it will be too choppy for kayaks?

1000 Islands NY would be my suggestion.... 5 hour drive from north Jersey but well worth it... Crystal clear water that is practically polluted with small mouth and it's a beautiful area as well..

Pleanty of places to rent boats and cabins too. Some cabins boats are must because they are on Islands.

thousand islands looks awesome but may be too far and too much boat traffic.. we mainly fish from kayaks, so we are trying to find an electric motor lake or private lake house.. we have a few we have used in the past but we want to try some new waters this year.

Is a cabin a "must"? I've done a few multi day, over night kayak fishing trips in the St. Regis section of the Adirondacks. Beautiful back country canoe/kayak trails that take you through multiple lakes and ponds and connector streams for pike, bass, perch, etc...All paddle only waters with no one hassling you. Tent camping only. I can send you a few route suggestions. Portage carts are highly recommended for portages.

I'm planning a trip with my friends this summer. I've been looking at Friends lake in the adrondacks. It's private. Haven't really heard how the fishing is though

That sounds awesome but we need a place to stay, cook that is clean.. not only is it a fishing trip but we want to relax as well an dnot have to worry about setting up camp all the time, although that sounds fantastic! lol

Thanks! im actually a member on KFS.com.. Lake George is a great option but the lake is way to big for our kayaks.. finger lakes are fantastic, lots of fun but also very large, we did a trip there 5 years ago.
