Trying for pike getting pickerel. Help!

Are pike as aggressive as pics? Tried a few times on millstone and only getting pics and smallmouth. Anyone evr go to Deal lake? Is it worth a shot or should I try some of the other pike stocked waters?

The only places I have heard of consistant pike fishing during the open water season are Spruce Run, the Passaic and the Upper South Branch of the Raritan.

Looks like the Passaic is the best, at least most consistent.
