I had my fishing yard sale fundraiser a couple of Saturdays ago that was a big success that I posted here. When I cleaned up I noticed one of the custom rods I had out was taken. Just goes to show that almost everybody that showed up was very supportive and had a good time and went home with some nice gear while helping a great cause. Only takes one person to put a damper on things. Sad part is if person was so down on his/her luck that they needed to steal rod I probably would have just given them a rod.

People really suck! We buy and deal in used tackle, but I ask for Drivers License, and several questions along with other ID. We have already found 2 different guys who have tried to sell stolen tackle and had it returned to the rightful owners. I can tell when they get uneasy, or I say I am running it against the Pawn List of stolen goods. The both said they were going to their car to get something and took off. While we didnt actually catch them.... the gear was returned.

Check the local flea markets too. I heard somebody was just snagged 2 weeks ago on RT 70. So keep that in mind. I will keep an eye out Rich....... will let you know if we see it.

Unless it was another fisherman thats going to use the equiptment which is highly unlikely. ..its most likely a drug addict who make up for a very very high percentage of thefts. Local pawn shops are the place to go.
