Got out with MikeyTopaz, DuckorBleed and FastEddie on Saturday looking for my first fish of the New Year. Bounced around between 2 lakes and ended up having a pretty decent day. Ended up with 6 Pickerel, 2 Pike, and a Yellow Perch. All fish on tip-ups except for 1 Pickerel on a Rapala jig, got to watch the entire fight through clear ice in my shanty

. Yesterday's rain messed things up, but hopefully this cold snap sets us up for a good season on ice!

is this a private lake? I couldn't find safe ice anywhere and ended up stream bouncing around for trout. kind of jealous you found ice to fish, but by next weekend the smaller lakes should be good to go.

Public land. A bit of a hike through the woods with gear, but worth it.

Beautiful day out there with some nice fish caught. Crazy day weather wise, sun, clouds, snow, mixed precipitation and rain. Haha, I LOVE it all!!! Always a fun time with the homies!!!
