Default Striper surf fly fishing report

I've been fly fishing for stripers all September and October, Been doing pretty well right off the surf using a white snake fly. Most mornings have been productive catching a fish or two. The best days have been during the NE wind or East. most of the fish have been between 24-27 inches.

Hey Leif - A friend of mine and his son recently got into fly fishing in fresh water and now want to try their hands in the salt. What type of fly would you suggest
for fishing Stripers from a boat when the sand eels start showing up??

Gerry,
There are many sand eel imitations out there. I like this type of fly when the sand eels are around. It is tied on a 2/0 hook and has weighted eyes. You can get them or tie them in different sizes and lengths. Declouser or as some call it, half and half. EZ body patters as shown are productive as well. You'll need a sinking line as well.
