I think they rent row boats there by the hour, most people just row around the lake. I never saw anyone fish out of them, but that was years ago. You may want to do the family thing and keep it in your pocket for a fishing trip you really want to do.

Funny you should mention this bc every time I go here I have the same thoughts. Ive seen people fish here near the picnic area, and Im pretty sure its allowed as long as you dont go to close to the rides. Give them a call just to make sure though.

No fishing in the entire lake???? that's crazy... I would imagine no fishing by the water park/beach area but not the entire lake....

So I went to Tomahawk lake with the family (including all the inlaws, etc...) We had a lot of people..

There is not any fishing allowed in Tomahawk lake because I don't think there is any fish in Tomahawk lake... All I saw was giant bullfrogs, millions of little baby black spotted frogs all over the camp grounds/picnic area and millions of tadpoles in the water... I did not see one fish... There were so many baby tiny frogs all over the place it was ridiculous... you could not walk anywhere without stepping on these things... we were grilling with our portable grill and the frogs were jumping into the grill while it was going :0 I hated this place because I never like to see things suffer or killed and kept yelling at members of my family about where walk or sit... My 2 yr old son had a blast cuz we caught a bunch of frogs and put in a bucket and all he did was carry the bucket around looking at the frogs then he would let them go in the water and catch more... it was too funny....

So I dropped off the family and decided to head to Lake Mohawk and/or Hopatcong... but as I was leaving Lake tomahawk area I noticed another small lake right up the road from Tomahawk ( according to google maps is called lake Seneca).. I looks like a semi private lake unless you find a small public access.. anyway I found a vacant summer home/townhouse complex by the water fall area and tried fishing there.... First cast I nailed a nice 3lb largemouth followed by many 1 to 2 lb largemouth and Pickeral.... overall I had about 14 fish in a 3-4 hour period.... I will post a pic of the bigger largemouth when I get a chance...
