When purchasing offshore rods, hardware plays a major roll in the overal cost per unit. The photo shows both Aftoc Chrome, or black on WO66 roller guides. Chrome is generally $30-40- less per set. Which is actually the best choice?

I have to go with the black Kevin. They both look great, but being partial to my fish poison rods in all black makes it an easy choice...guess it's all a matter of personal preference.

The Black finish is actually better against corrosion. As with most products with Chrome coatings the "Brass adherent" oxidizes a greenish crust, or corrosion. Once it starts its downhill from there.
HD. I agree, the black looks better as well. |

Why wouldn't they use stainless steel instead of chrome?
