Hit the Passaic for an hour or so late afternoon. The river was down over a foot since my last visit Thursday. Took the opportunity to photograph some boulders and gravel bars which are usually submerged. I managed 19 fish total, nothing big. 14 smallies and 5 rock bass. 13 fish came out of the same pool, they had nowhere to go.

Those rock bass have the red eyes right? I caught some of those but wasn't sure if they were Crappie's or not.

Nice catch for an hour or so of fishing. I caught my first rock bass two weeks ago, had to check what it was online, thought it was a strange looking crappie too.

The Rock Bass have been non-stop in the Passaic the passed couple weeks....and they will hit almost anything. Had a few hit my large firetiger crankbait and jumbo shiners the over the weekend. I'd imagine they'd be awesome on light test, but they're not much of a battle of my 65lb braid and 25lb flouro leader lol.
