PROWLER5 - MON., OCT. 6TH - SEA BASS CRUSHED THEM TODAY
Hey gang, I got down to the boat this morning and saw that we had a pretty big crowd of customers - 27 to be exact. I didn't expect that on a Monday in Oct. But I guess with the great fishing and beautiful weather the people came down. Nice to see. Today we made 3 drops all on anchor and it was great fishing. Linsey had a triple limit of 30 big keeper sea bass ORL. Pete had a triple limit fishing the stern ORL. Big Joe had 19 in his cooler and we had limits all around the boat. We were 85% on big sea bass so we were very close to limiting out the whole boat. Roy won today's pool with a nice blackfish. Hats off to Larry and Danny for another job well done. Larry had to start filleting early today to get everyone's fish done before we hit the dock. A lot of the people that were on today's trip are coming back tomorrow. Don't miss out, who knows how long this great fishing is going to last. Especially if we get some bad weather and strong winds for next week (which the forecast is calling for). So let's go fishing. We've been catching them anchoring and drifting. Our last 2 trips it's been on the anchor and on Saturday's trip we hammered them drifting. It all depends on conditions. I'm expecting a big crowd tomorrow, so I'm going to have 3 deckhands down for the service tomorrow. It's been a blast catching these fish like this. Especially since for the whole month of Sept. we had to throw them back because of the fish laws which are just plain ridiculous. Sailing every day, weather permitting. 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM; fare is $90; free ice for your catch; fresh clams supplied for bait. If you want to try for some blackfish you can stop at one of the tackle stores on the way to the Harbor and get yourself some green crabs. Very busy day today. I'll post pics a little later from today's trip.
