Winds gusted out of north to 60 mph for 20 minutes - hard rain too. This was in Raritan Bay 2 hours ago

That happened Sunday about 6-7 pm too. Was mid Raritan bay on way back from Keyport.

Heaving to and watching spin drift (gale force or higher winds) off Keansburg. Luckily no real fetch so only one footers blowing hard from the north.

Thought it would rip off the side curtains off the tow boat. Was gusts of at least 50. The kind of wind that makes noise going through the rigging. Not steady.

Brought back a lot of bad offshore memories I'd rather not relive.
