![]() I have some Canyon time in the near future and
With the depressing tuna reports I’m seriously Considering spending time with a swordfish rig Out there. So just wondering what would be the Most of practical hook size. Thanks for any and all info Chris |

![]() 9/0-11/0 is the sweet spot. We have hooked them with smaller HD Tuna hooks but not ideal.
Use the smaller hooks for live bait and larger for dead baits. Hope this helps you.

![]() My last sword was caught on a 12 circle hook with 8 feet of 80lb floro leader. the funny thing was it was only set 25 feet down with half a bluefish for bait.
