While the ocean may be void of flatties, the flukin' this morning on the river was encouraging. Today was the first chance we were able to fish the outgoing and we had good consistent action for 2+ hours. Three solid keepers but, more importantly, many shorts! At times all three of us on Henry's Honeybee were all hooked up.
Water temperature was consistent 61*. Would've liked to try the Wonder Rig w/ killies this morning, but couldn't resist using 1/2 ounce jig with Spearing on top teaser and bottom jig. Today they were all over the bottom meat jig and we went thru a block of spearing in no time. Our buddy fishing along side us did not fare as well using Gulp. Best part of fishing the river: a 3 hour trip means 2 hours and 58 minutes of fishing time ! ![]()
