Mostly fluke, robins, and small blues, hickory shad..fun on light tackle. however when that sun goes down and you get a good incoming tide you can catch sharks and big rays on the beach...I wouldn't even bother doing this unless you have the gear for it, snapped my light weight terez spinning rod last summer hooked up on a 70lb cow nose.

How did you snap a rod on a ray? Too much drag and too much bend trying not to get spooled?

in the wash I locked down the drag a bit more and the ray decided it had some fight left in it...pull from the wave/rays weight, over eager me = snap. Great rod though, bought another
