Got out early this morning for the first pike trip of the year. Hiked through woods and mud banks tossing a buzzbait around for the first hour, nailed a little guy then changed tactics. Got a small pickerel on an inline, switched to a spinnerbait and got 2 more small pike; hooked a nice one that woulda been landed successfully if not for getting hung up on a sunken tree . Made moves downstream around noon, got one last pike but a quality one. 5 lbs even making it a new pb. Called it quits around 3
