Whats up boys. Asked for LG info years ago and y’all were spot on.
Heading up Sat to Wed next week for family stuff. Bougee $hit that just ain’t me. Staying in the heart of the Village. I’ll have 2 mornings to play with but boatless. Googled “shore fishing Lake George” and got some info. Any info for shore fishing that way is much appreciated. If I can walk the municipal docks at sunrise and get a few bass or yellows I’m good. Thanks for any suggestions.

The village area is kind of a busy area as the day progresses, but if you're out there early, and walk along the bottom of the lake towards Million Dollar Beach, there's a lot of water to cover from the shore. Having taken that walk a time or three myself, you can occasionally see bass in the areas around the paddle-wheelers, and along the bulkheaded areas. I think a Senko might be a good choice there for the bass, and small spinners for the perch.
There's also a little pier thing at Sheppard Park. That gets crowded with people during the day/evening, but the morning might make it worth a few casts.

Thank you sir! Walked the public docks down to the SteamBoats and did well with a simple FatRap.

Nice!
Glad to hear that. I was hoping you'd post up how you did.

Didn’t take any pics as I was sneaking out early the few days I had to work with just a rod and room key.
From sunup til 8:30 am or so it was pretty good. Mix of largemouth and rock bass with a few yellow perch mixed in. Floating grass was PIA closer to the village but as I made my way to the boat dock it cleaned up. After 8:30 the crowds built and it was time to go. Good stuff for sure. Appreciate the heads up. It’s a beautiful place!!!

The lake remains amazingly clear too, which is also partially credited to the plethora of rules and regs that the lake association has in place. That southern end is where everything flows, so a bit less evident there, and thats where the e-coli issues happen, but it's still pretty nice. If you ever get a chance, run up further north on the lake. The town of Bolton Landing on the west side is really nice. The Sagamore is a nice stop with tons of history. And as you go further north, all the touristy stuff dissipates, and you get to really enjoy the natural beauty. Anyway, glad you had a good trip.
