Rivers are blown out !! Those T storms really did a number on my local waters.
S Branch does clear up quickly though.

Upper NB should also be fishable this weekend.

They sure did. I was hoping to explore new waters tomorrow too. Hopefully conditions aren't too bad.

That would explain why the fish ladder webcam is down.

I noticed that. With no fishcam, I actually did work at my desk this afternoon.

I drove past Duke Island Park this afternoon and noticed the water was muddy and a couple of feet higher than usual, but not unmanageable.

This post made me finally check up the USGS site. Seems like good info other than if it's still muddy or not. It seems like the waters are going back down to normal, not as low as it was during the start of the week like monday, which is good.

Some of the gauges have turbidity meters so you can see if the water is muddy or not. However, it might be hard to interpret unless you're familiar with NTUs.

I've been reading it as high-muddy, low-clear?

Pretty much, but it's difficult to know just how clear/muddy just by looking at the graphs. There's no stated value for when the river becomes "fishable."
