Beach Replenishment Scheduled
- Local beach replenishment to address erosion hotspot between Brielle Rd & Perch Ave - Expect to see construction equipment as early as Wednesday, with replenishment operations to begin Thursday. - Please stay out of posted hazard areas and away from construction activity We thank you for your cooperation during the replenishment project and will update the information as the project moves forward. This might affect the surf fishing and access to it. Is the beach that bad that it couldn't wait 'til later? |

Erosion isn't that bad from what I've seen, but I believe the fill is coming from the manasquan river dredging project that is starting this week which probably accounts for the timing

The last time they dredged, the silt was dumped just off the beach to be carried by the tides and waves toward the beach. If they use the pipe and pump system it will be a lot more "sanitary". The water won't get as silted as it did when they just opened up the coffer bottom and spilled it out. Today is Wednesday. Is anything going on?
