PA ice fishing question

In mid Januaray heading up to camelback for the weekend (tannersville PA). Was wondering any one knows about ice fishing up that way or even a guide out that way. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in mind I don't have any ice gear and have never really done it before.

I won't be all that surprised if lakes are not frozen yet by January...just saying

Chris, that area is a roughly 7-10 degrees colder on a given day than where you are. I live in Vernon and its a few degrees colder than where I live. I would be surprised if there was not safe ice on many of the smaller impoundments by January. JMHO

I read an informative article a few weeks ago that stated historically, when we have a "mild" November and December, we tend to have very cold January and February. Let's hope so!

PS: Me and the boys were first on the ice January 6th 2015, let's hope we can duplicate that .
