I have been trout fishing the SBR in the Flemington area a lot and have noticed on two occasions fish swimming very slow in the shallows of the river bank with what looks to be a whitish fungus growing on them. One was a Sunfish and the other a small Catfish. I should have took pics but I didn't. Can anyone tell me what might be going on with these fish? I hope it's not some type of outbreak !!

That could be the answer Steve. Although the "ick" was on a large area of the fish. They looked like there days where numbered!

See if you can catch one of those fish, it needs to go to the F&G lab. My best guess is ick, especially if you noticed it on the fins and the back of fish.
