Native brook trout - 10/18
I fished a small trib to a reservoir seeking colorful brookies. Didn't find many adults - caught 14 little guys in the 3-4" range - but did get a nice-sized doe and buck fish. Does have the rounded snout and not as brightly colored; Bucks have the more sharp snout and brightly colored with the orange/red flanks.

If these heroes - aka criminals - just followed directions and didn’t resist or have an atttude, they’d be alive today.

Nice wild fish.
Plan to do that all next week when up on LG at my cabin. I love the looks you get fishing those little holes from people who have no clue. By far the best spots are what 99% overlook and walk by.
