Looking for somewhere to take the kayak tomorrow for trout or bass. Any recommendations?… Hit splitrock reservoir today and only got 4 pickerel no bass

welcome to NJFishing!

are they still reconstructing the road across the dam at splitrock? how about the water level, still down a few feet, or did they raise it back to normal pool yet?

still pretty cold for bass, if i were you, i'd drop the kayak in and look for trout in aeroflex or wawayanda

Bass in sr is tough right now with the water so low.. Road work was going on last weekend, but you could get to the parking lot.

If you want to stay in the kayak, why not try Passaic for some big guys, or the waway route is a good recommendation as well for trout.. Just have to stay on the troll or on the far side of the middle island and go s little deep
