I caught, took a pic, then released a 23" 4 lb 10 oz channel catfish in the 38 degree tidal Delaware River yesterday evening on my first cast for the day with chicken liver bait on the outgoing tide. 2 guys in a boat said that they caught a 6 lber on deer meat. I only had one bite. The water is still way too cold yet.

The finger paint was leaves. Yesterday I caught and released a bullhead in 46 degree Carnegie Lake on chicken liver. It was the only bite that I had and I caught it on my last cast for the day. Looks like 50 degree water is the magic number for good fishing.
